The Oryx Moto™ side stand extender for your Yamaha Tenere 700 – this is a valuable accessory serving as an extension to your existing side stand footprint. It is designed to assist in preventing the side stand from sinking into soft surfaces which can lead to your bike tipping over.

Motorcycle side stands displace the weight of your bike over a larger surface area. It is different to a center stand, whose main purpose is to park the motorbike in an upright manner for maintenance, and is generally able to be used on more surfaces than the kick stand. This extender will therefore allow your kick stand to be used on a wider array of surfaces, given its larger footprint.

Materials:

Oryx Moto™ uses 304 Grade Stainless Steel in its flat sheet and tube components. 304 Stainless is the highest quality used in the Auto / Moto parts world due to its high strength, shape retention, and imperviousness to rust, which is due to its 20% chromium and 10% nickel blend.
It resists hydrochloric acid, and chloride salt solutions, and has excellent machinability and fait welding characteristics. Its extremely low ferrous metal content make it non-magnetic.

Oryx Moto™ uses 316 Grade Stainless for its fasteners due to its superior corrosion resistance and rupture strength, as well as its performance in chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. 316 Stainless also has excellent mechanical properties in high temperature situations, around engine blocks for example. Only the cage nuts used are zinc plated.
