The R1250GS’ side stand switch is located in a vulnerable area on the bike and is considered to be a weak point – your adventure can easily come to an unexpected end if the side stand switch is damaged, rendering the bike disabled. Oryx Moto’s side stand switch guard will minimize this risk and protect the switch and it’s wiring.

Materials:

Oryx Moto™ uses 304 Grade Stainless Steel in its flat sheet and tube components. 304 Stainless is the highest quality used in the Auto / Moto parts world due to its high strength, shape retention, and imperviousness to rust, which is due to its 20% chromium and 10% nickel blend.
It resists hydrochloric acid, and chloride salt solutions, and has excellent machinability and fait welding characteristics. Its extremely low ferrous metal content make it non-magnetic.

Oryx Moto™ uses 316 Grade Stainless for its fasteners due to its superior corrosion resistance and rupture strength, as well as its performance in chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. 316 Stainless also has excellent mechanical properties in high temperature situations, around engine blocks for example. Only the cage nuts used are zinc plated.
